Kita percaya bahwa jika terjadi masalah listrik, MCB akan segera memutus aliran. Namun, ada satu fakta krusial yang jarang disadari oleh pemilik rumah: <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>MCB tidak dirancang untuk melindungi manusia dari sengatan listrik (kesetrum).<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Lantas, siapa yang menjalankan tugas perlindungan nyawa tersebut? Jawabannya adalah <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker)<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> atau yang kini lebih modern dikenal sebagai <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker)<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">. Artikel ini akan mengupas mengapa perangkat ini wajib ada di setiap rumah modern.<\/span><\/span><\/p><h2 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>1. Perbedaan Mendasar: MCB vs ELCB<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h2><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Untuk memahami mengapa MCB saja tidak cukup, kita harus melihat perbedaan fungsinya secara teknis:<\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker):<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Melindungi <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>instalasi dan peralatan<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">. MCB baru akan memutus arus jika beban yang melewatinya sangat besar (misal 6 Ampere atau lebih).<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>ELCB\/RCCB:<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Melindungi <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>manusia<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">. Ia bekerja mendeteksi kebocoran arus sekecil apa pun. Jika ada arus yang &#8220;nyasar&#8221; ke tubuh manusia atau ke tanah (ground), ELCB akan memutus aliran listrik dalam waktu sekejap mata (kurang dari 0,1 detik).<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>2. Mengapa Sengatan Listrik Sangat Berbahaya?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h2><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Tubuh manusia hanya mampu menoleransi arus listrik dalam jumlah yang sangat kecil. Sebagai gambaran:<\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>10 mA (Miliampere):<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Memberikan efek kejut yang menyakitkan.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>30 mA:<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Batas maksimal sebelum otot berkontraksi dan jantung mulai terganggu.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>Di atas 50 mA:<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Dapat menyebabkan gagal jantung atau kematian dalam hitungan detik.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Bayangkan jika Anda menyentuh kabel yang terkelupas atau peralatan yang bocor (seperti <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><i>water heater<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> atau mesin cuci). Arus sebesar 100 mA sudah cukup untuk membahayakan nyawa, namun arus sekecil itu <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>tidak akan membuat MCB turun<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">, karena MCB menganggap itu hanyalah beban kecil biasa. Di sinilah ELCB berperan sebagai penyelamat.<\/span><\/span><\/p><h2 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>3. Cara Kerja ELCB: Si Pendeteksi Ketidakseimbangan<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h2><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">ELCB bekerja dengan prinsip keseimbangan arus. Ia terus-menerus membandingkan arus yang masuk melalui kabel fasa (api) dan arus yang kembali melalui kabel netral.<\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>Kondisi Normal:<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Arus masuk = Arus keluar.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>Kondisi Bocor:<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Jika ada kabel yang menyentuh bodi kulkas yang basah, atau seseorang menyentuh kabel telanjang, sebagian arus akan mengalir ke tanah (tidak kembali ke kabel netral).<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>Respon ELCB:<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> Begitu mendeteksi perbedaan arus (biasanya sebesar <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>30mA<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> untuk proteksi manusia), ELCB akan langsung memutus aliran listrik secara total.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><b>4.
